The Melungeon Heritage Association, is a non-profit organization that documents and preserves the history and cultural legacy of mixed-ancestry peoples in the southern and eastern United States. All who support MHA’s work, whether identifying as mixed ancestry or not, are invited to participate in MHA’s work and goals, as well as its gatherings and events. As we celebrate our past, we also seek to understand its impact on our lives today and help others to do the same.
How you can help power our mission:
1. Join Us: Become an MHA member and participate in the Melungeon community, either in person at our annual Union/Conferences or online as part of our new collaboration with Melungeon Roots.

The Melungeon Heritage Association is a 501(c)(3) public charity registered as an active nonprofit business entity in the state of Tennessee. All donations to our organization are tax-deductible and you will receive a receipt by email for your records.
