Our next guest speaker spotlight is on Crystal Good. Crystal Good is a West Virginia poet, performer, activist, and publisher. She founded Black by God, Black By God The West Virginian a small independent news and storytelling organization that aims to provide a platform for Black voices in West Virginia and across Appalachia. In addition to her work with Black by God, Crystal is an accomplished poet and performer committed to promoting understanding and connection across racial and cultural divides.
She will be on a panel along with Adam Dickson and Frederick Murphy at this year’s 29th MHA annual Union/conference in Johnson City, Tennessee on June 20th and 21st. The guest speakers will be presenting on Friday, June 20th at the Langston Center in downtown Johnson City. A more detailed schedule of guest speaker line up will be posted closer to the conference.
